ABOUT MARIA DE GUZMAN Maria de Guzman is a Sydney based Fashion designer. Her designs, of her stylish attire are inspired by her exotic elegance, diva and glam. Maria is passionate about creating voluptuous designs, respecting women of all genres. Her designs reveal messages to women, emphasising on a genuine fact “dress for yourself”. Maria de Guzman’s design style is creative, elegant and petite, incorporating strokes of romanticism, along with a glamorous outlook that portray her exquisite style. Her designs manifest between seduction, sensual and glamour, compatible with the sensational female body. Maria does not only have an innovative mind but also knew the packaging and presentation that came along with her line. Born on November 8, 1981 in Manila, Philippines, Maria had come a long way from the days her mother worked two jobs as a seamstress / dressmaker, to provide for the family. Maria had then migrated to Australia at the tender age of 6, hoping for better prospects. Maria’s fashion sense was apparent at an early age. As a little girl, her spare moments were spent, helping women to achieve a sense of glamour and style by creating designs of exquisite fashion, assisted by her highly skilled mother, Elvira, which then spawned her career to the next level. Maria founded the company “Maria de Guzman” in March 2010, with an aim of producing style and intrigue. Maria grew up with a dream to enter the fashion industry, but her career took a different path. 7 years later, her long-held dream of pursuing her passion for fashion has finally come to fruition. Maria has launched her label in the last few months as a flawless and exquisite brand, she has entered a varied number of runway events, introducing her label at the 2010 Fashion Forward Festival, which was hosted by the Fashion Foundation of Australia. Not concluding her fashion fiesta, she then showcased her collection at Chic Petite Events quarterly showcase. Maria de Guzman hosted her own Fashion Launch Party at the Tunnel nightclub, which was a spectacular event consisting of Hot Male Bodies body painted in suits. The Ladies were beautifully dressed in Maria’s Spring / Summer Collection which also introduced the beginning of her exquisite Gown creations. Her spectacular designs were also displayed at the Club’s Sunday event Showcase Sundays titled “The White Collection”, which focussed on extraordinary white garments. Maria’s fine designs aim to produce a contemporary line, which is breath taking and can be purchased at an affordable cost. The Maria de Guzman label grasps exquisite style, approaching women with elegance, sexiness, and sophistication, displaying glitz and glamour.
